Official urges outside audit for state corporations
RBC, 26.03.2008, Moscow 13:39:16.Head of Russia's Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin considers it essential to ensure external audit of state corporations. The official announced this at a conference in Moscow today, noting that state audit of national corporations, which work outside the competence of the Budget Code, presented a new problem. In his opinion, government funds granted to be managed by these institutions should be under constant control of external state audit.
