Moscow to have world's second largest budget in 2010
RBC, 26.03.2008, Moscow 13:37:22.Moscow's budget estimate for 2009 is $44bn, making the city's budget the third in the world after Tokio ($55bn) and New-York ($50bn), Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov said at the tenth annual meeting of the Moscow International Business Association today. He added that the city was expected to take the second place according to its budget size in two years. Luzhkov also said that Moscow's GDP was projected to double in 2009 or earlier, noting that the city attracted $70bn worth of investment in 2007, including $15bn of direct investment.
