Vnesheconombank chief confirms purchase of EADS stake
RBC, 28.12.2007, Moscow 13:50:49.Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev has confirmed the acquisition of a 5-percent stake in the European Aeronautics Defence and Space Co. (EADS) by the state corporation. When asked by reporters, he also added that the state development bank's management was intending to sell shares at no loss to Russia's United Aircraft Building Company after the latter makes its corporate decisions to issue additional shares. VTB announced on Thursday that it had sold 5 percent in EADS to Vnesheconombank at EUR24.23 per share, with the total transaction price at EUR994.79m.
