Russia's state atomic energy corporation bill comes into force
RBC, 05.12.2007, Moscow 12:58:58.A federal law on the state atomic energy corporation Rosatom has come into force in Russia after it was published today in the official government daily Rossiyskaya Gazeta. The law provides for the establishment of a special-purpose corporation, which will unite atomic energy and industry enterprises under one roof, and stipulates a transition period of up to three years for the transfer of a property contribution of the Russian government to the state giant. The corporation will be governed by a Supervisory Board, which is to include four representatives of the Russian President and four more from the Russian government, as well as a General Director and an Executive Board, whose members are to be appointed by the Supervisory Board upon the nomination of the General Director.
