Russia and Canada agree on export insurance
RBC, 30.11.2007, Ottawa 10:40:13.Russia and Canada have reached an agreement on export insurance, signed between Vnesheconombank (Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs) and Export Development Canada. As Russia's Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev explained after the agreement had been signed, the two nations were interested in developing trade and investment. Canada has a special corporation engaged in insuring export deals, and Vnesheconombank will be acting as a counteragent on behalf of Russia, which would give Russian and Canadian companies a new and reliable impetus.
