Moldova sees rise in direct foreign investment
RBC, 16.10.2007, Chisinau 09:34:38.Moldova received $200.46m in direct foreign investment in H1 2007, up $94.65m from the same period a year earlier, Moldova's National Statistics Committee said. According to the committee, in the first and second quarters foreign investment foreign investment inflow amounted to $87.31m and $113.15m respectively. Investment in share capital stood at $82.21m, and $70.8m were invested in subsidiaries. According to the National Bank of Moldova, accumulated direct foreign investment topped $1.505bn in H1 2007, with investment in share capital and reinvested profit accounting for nearly $1.095bn.
