Russian steel maker boosts stake in Irish mining company
RBC, 24.09.2007, Moscow 19:15:47.Severstal, Russia's vertically integrated steel maker, has purchased 4.6 percent (2,586,556) shares in Celtic Resources Holdings Plc. for $12m, boosting its total stake in the Irish-based mining company from 22 to 26.6 percent, the Russian company reported. Celtic Resources operates Suzdal and Zherek gold deposits in eastern Kazakhstan, 50 percent in the Shorskoye molybdenum field in Kazakhstan and 50 percent in Tominskoye gold and copper project in the Chelyabinsk region.
