Austria to have positive impact on Russia-EU relations
RBC, 23.05.2007, Vienna 18:20:23.Russian President Vladimir Putin is sure that cooperation with Austria would have a positive impact on Russia's relations with the EU. The Russian leader made this statement at today's joint press conference with his counterpart Heinz Fischer in Vienna. Putin pointed out that tensions between nations on certain matters did not prevent Russia from cooperation with the EU. He named a recent EU-Russia summit in Samara as an example of such cooperation. Putin also pointed out that there remained some issued to be discussed, including the situation in Kosovo. He added that Moscow and Vienna were advocates of peaceful settlement р regional conflicts and urged other countries to join efforts to prevent proliferation of weapons of mass distraction.
