Russia restricts meat and fish imports
RBC, 15.05.2007, Moscow 09:39:46.Russia's Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Service has imposed temporary restrictions on imports from a number of plants and farms in Lithuania, Chile, Argentina, and the US, as salmonella and staphylococci were revealed in some fish and chicken batches. The Service has requested the respective veterinary services of the countries to inquire into the cases of contamination of imports bound for Russia and to prevent such cases in future.
