KAMAZ to be privatized in Q3
RBC, 29.03.2007, Moscow 09:52:05.The Russian truck maker KAMAZ will be privatized through a public offering in the third quarter of 2008, Economy Minister German Gref told journalists today. He explained that the decision had been made at a recent meeting between KAMAZ representatives, Tatarstan administration and independent consultants. The size of the stake to be floated will be determined in a pre-placement procedure. Gref stressed that the state-owned stake was not supposed to be below 25 percent plus one share. As reported earlier, the government is now in possession of 34.01 percent in the truck maker.
