Moldova's mobile operators see profits rise
RBC, 02.03.2007, Chisinau 09:16:11.Revenue of Moldova's mobile communications providers surged 38 percent to around $148.5m in 2006 against 2005, RBC has been told by the Moldova's national regulatory agency for communications. Voxtel's sales surpassed $103.6m, and Moldcell's sales were above $44.9m. The monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) rose to $10.1, which is $0.55 more than in 2005. Voxtel's ARPU amounted to $11.25, and that of Moldcell to $8.18. Based on the earned revenue, Voxtel's market share is estimated at 69.75 percent, and that of Moldcell at 30.25 percent.
