Moldova estimates losses from Russia's wine ban
RBC, 19.01.2007, Chisinau 19:21:56.The total loss of Moldovan wineries from Russia's embargo on their products amounts to around $180m. According to experts of the agricultural agency Moldova-Vin, this amount includes the estimated value of wines, which were left in Russia's warehouses or were destroyed after the ban on their sales was imposed in late March 2005, as well as the value of mortgaged company equipment and property.
