Russian and Vietnamese central banks sign agreement
RBC, 20.11.2006, Hanoi 11:56:26.Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a number of bilateral documents during his official visit to Vietnam. Among them are abank supervision agreement between the Central Bank of Russia and the State Bank of Vietnam, and a cooperation agreement between Sberbank and the Bank for Foreign Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The two Presidents also signed a joint action program for 2007-2008 for the implementation of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in tourism. The official Moscow considers the future development of credit and finance mechanisms between the two countries important. The agreement, which was signed today, and the earlier launch of the Vietnamese-Russian Bank, are expected to solve the problem of mutual payments, provide credit guarantees and insurance of deals.
