Gazprom expects rise in Shtokman gas reserves

      RBC, 27.06.2006, Moscow 16:12:38.Shtokman field gas reserves will have grown by 700bn cubic meters by 2010, Vladimir Vovk, head of the offshore development technology department at Gazprom, said in his report at the conference dedicated to Russian shelf exploration. He added that a new interpretation technique for seismic exploration data will be introduced at the Shtokman field, its geological model will be specified and gas and condensate reserves will be updated in 2007. In 2006, another exploratory hole 2,450 meters long is to be bored on the field.

      Gazprom's report also indicates that oil and gas reserves on the Russian shelf will increase by 191m tonnes and 2.5-3 trillion cubic meters respectively overall.
