Investor consortium buys Corbina Telecom
RBC, 03.03.2006, Moscow 17:36:20.A consortium of Russian private and institutional investors headed by direct investment fund Renova Capital has acquired a 100-percent stake in Corbina Telecom from American corporation IDT for $146m, Renova Capital reported. The acquisition was partially financed by a loan provided by Vneshtorgbank (VTB). With the assistance of new shareholders, Corbina Telecom intends to increase its presence in the mobile and fixed-line telecommunications market segments, and to continue the construction of its high-speed fiber-optic network in Moscow, the company's President said.
