Transnistria may curtail conflict settlement negotiations with Moldova
RBC, 20.01.2006, Tiraspol 11:46:40.Transnistria may curtail negotiations with Moldova on the Transnistrian conflict settlement due to economic pressure applied by Moldova against the republic, President of the breakaway Transnistrian Republic Igor Smirnov told journalists. The President referred to Moldova's new cargo transit regulations, effective January 25, according to which all Transnistrian goods passing the Moldovan-Ukrainian border have to go through customs registration in Moldova. Tiraspol's possible moves on the matter will be made known after January 25. The republic is prepared for any course of development, Smirnov added.
