Moscow eyeing development of small businesses
RBC, 20.01.2006, Moscow 09:58:25.Moscow is to host the conference "Small business - the foundation of municipal economies" today. The following key topics were selected for discussion at the conference: new aspects of legislative control over local governments, opportunities for local governments to implement entrepreneurship development programs and projects, and creation of a special infrastructure for small businesses. Besides these issues, conference participants will consider the mission and tasks of entrepreneurs' associations, and their experience of interaction with local governments. The conference will be attended by President of Opora Rossii (Support of Russia) Sergei Borisov; Andrei Sharov, director of the Economy Ministry's department for state control over the economy; Vladimir Mokry, head of the State Duma committee for local government; Tatyana Popova, member of the Federation Council, and other high-ranking officials.
