Domodedovo reports increase in passenger traffic
RBC, 15.11.2005, Moscow 13:34:17.The passenger traffic through the international airport of Domodedovo grew by 14.6 percent to 11.9m people from January through October 2005 compared to the same period last year, reported East Line Group, which runs the airport. Domodedovo registered 6.8m passengers flying to foreign countries, which is 23.1 percent more than in the same period of 2004. Domestic flights were made by 5.2m people (up by 5 percent). Antalya, Tel-Aviv, Tashkent, Charm-el-Cheikh, Sochi, Barcelona, Dubai and Hurgada were the most popular destinations. In October 2005, passenger traffic stood at 1.2m people, up by 24.4 percent from October 2004. Of the total number of passengers, 680,000 flew abroad (up by 27.8 percent), and 550,000 traveled within the country (up by 20.5 percent).
