Russian stocks traded higher
RBC, 08.08.2005, Moscow 14:28:33.Today's trade on the Russian stock market is characterized by steady growth in most traded securities. On the RTS exchage, Surgutneftegas is leading the gainers, having advanced by more than 1 percent. The RTS index has grown 0.79 percent to 809.6 points. Trade volume on the classic market has exceeded $14m. Gazprom have increased 0.9 percent. On the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange, highly liquid securities have stepped up within 1 percent. Rostelecom is being traded below the level of Friday's closing on both MICEX and the RTS. The Russian market will continue its growth, an analyst has told RBC TV. However, if interest rates are increased in the USA, the Russian market may step down.
