Kazakhstan may join WTO next year
RBC, 04.08.2005, Astana 10:00:11.Kazakhstan has a good chance of joining the World Trade Organization next year, Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with agricultural producers and businessmen during his working visit to the Kustanai region, his press service told RBC. To be admitted to the world trade family next year, Kazakh manufacturers have to actively introduce international standards, particularly in processing agricultural products, the most vulnerable sphere of the national economy, Nazarbayev stressed. "We have to intensify our efforts in this area to ensure that Kazakhstan can join WTO in 2006," he said.
