10,000 troops to participate in Russian-Chinese military exercises
RBC, 02.08.2005, Moscow 10:45:25.Up to 10,000 troops will take part in the "Peaceful Mission 2005" Russian-Chinese military exercises scheduled for August 18-25 in Russia and China, RBC has been told by the defense ministry's information and public relations department. Air force, navy, airborne and land troops will be deployed. The Russian and Chinese military command will announce commencement of the exercises on August 18 in Russia's Far Eastern city of Vladivostok. The military maneuvers will be watched by defense ministers and observers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
