Middlemen complicate Ukraine's relations with gas suppliers
RBC, 23.06.2005, Kiev 09:57:47.Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko views middlemen as one of the reasons for Turkmenistan's dissatisfaction with goods supplies in exchange for gas sold to Ukraine. She gave this opinion to reporters yesterday. "Ukraine makes no direct payments to Turkmenistan. For a number of years, there has been a middleman to make payments for this gas," the Prime Minister said. She added that since the beginning of this year, Turkmenistan's gas has been supplied to Russia via a new middleman - Russian-Swiss company RosUkrEnergo.
