Foreign ministry on Chechen problem
RBC, 08.02.2005, Moscow 14:54:05.Moscow does not believe Chechen gunmen have a nuclear device and may use it in a terrorist act. This was how the information and press department of foreign ministry commented on Boris Berezovsky's statement that Chechen gunmen have nuclear weapons. Several mass media sources have published various kinds of threats recently. Berezovsky is frightening Russians with some portable nuclear bombs that Chechen gunmen have. The Russian foreign ministry does not rule out the possibility of new threats of this kind to appear. Their aim is to make Russians feel vulnerable and nervous.
