Ukrainian Security Service prevents weapon supplies to Iraq
RBC, 17.01.2005, Kiev 17:23:44.The Ukrainian Security Service (USS) prevented more than 160 Taliban and al-Qaeda members from entering the country in 2004, USS's press service told RBC today. In addition, USS officers precluded a deal on an illegal purchase of Ukrainian weapons for Iraq that involved Greek, Pakistani and Iraqi citizens. In March 2004, these foreigners came to Ukraine in order to buy weapons, ammunition and military equipment totaling $800m.
