Georgia to send troops to Afghanistan
RBC, 27.08.2004, Tbilisi 13:20:06.Georgia will send 50 servicemen from its 16th mountain infantry battalion to Afghanistan. On August 29 they will be delivered to Germany to undergo two-weeks training. In the middle of September, Georgian peacekeepers will be deployed in Afghanistan with German peacekeepers. The Georgian military men will serve 100 days in this country and will be replaced by another platoon.
