Money supply up in Russia
RBC, 10.06.2004, Moscow 15:17:00.The money supply in Russia increased by 9.5 percent in the first 4 months of 2004 and reached some RUR4.34 trillion (about $149.48bn) as of May 1, 2004. The money supply increased by 3.4 percent in April. All monetary funds in the Russian economy, which can be used as a means of payment, increased by 3.7 percent and according to preliminary data, amounted to RUR2.262 trillion (about $77.9bn) as of May 1, 2004. According to preliminary data, the net foreign assets of the Central Bank, the Finance Ministry and credit organizations reached RUR2.433 trillion (about $83.8bn) as of May 1, 2004, having increased by 16 percent against January 1, 2004.
