Kazakhstan raises gas transportation through Russia
RBC, 05.05.2004, Astana 11:32:31.Some 28.6bn cubic meters of gas from Kazakhstan were transported through Russia in the first quarter of 2004, which was 10.7 percent higher than in the corresponding period of last year, the press service of the Kazakhstani government reported. The amount of Kazakhstani gas exports was 1.94bn cubic meters in the first three months of 2004, which was 70.9 percent more than in the period from January to March 2003. The volume of gas reserves in underground gas storage facilities in Kazakhstan was 666.7m cubic meters on April 1, 2004. The republic's gas production advanced 48.3 percent to about 2.442bn cubic meters in the first quarter of 2004.
