Tbilisi wants Adzharia's leader to resign
RBC, 05.05.2004, Tbilisi 09:15:48.Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili guarantees security to Adzharia's leader Aslan Abashidze if he resigns, Giga Bokeria, a leader of Georgia's governing party National Movement-Democrats, told Rustavi-2 television. "Mikhail Saakashvili always fulfills his promises, he is a man of his word. Although Abashidze and his assistants are guilty of many crimes, they will be provided security if they resign," Bokeria stressed. "If he does not resign we will have to use force. Currently they have a chance to save their lives," he added.
