Russia to adopt European digital television standards
RBC, 03.12.2003, Moscow 12:06:01.Russia will adopt DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) as its national standard of digital television. The decision was made by the Telecommunications Ministry yesterday, according to the press service of the ministry. Digital television is being actively implemented in many countries of the world. At present, there are three state-of-the-art systems of this kind: the European-designed DVB, the US-designed ATSC and the Japanese-designed ISDB.
