Establishment of a unified Central Control Directorate (CDU) of Fuel and Energy does not infringe on the interests of oil companies, the First Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy of Russia Alexander Kochnev told reporters today. According to him, the CDU must unify information coming from coal industry, RAO Unified Energy Systems of Russia, Gazprom and central offices of oil companies. The new organization will carry out controlling functions, but it is not planed that the CDU will coordinate oil export, although Russia loses a lot of money now, because of the fact that supplies of oil and oil products to the external market are not coordinated. According to Kochnev, oil companies not always uphold interests of the State, and a concept of a special organization for coordinating the interests of the State and oil companies is now being elaborated. At the same time the Fuel and Energy Ministry has no intentions to obstruct a free trade, Kochnev emphasized. The aim of the actions of the Ministry is to increase the foreign currency revenues of the State, and making direct contracts for supplies of Russian oil is possible in that respect, because "selling oil must be profitable for the State". Kochnev does not reject a possibility of establishing another CDU to coordinate export.
