The VAZ-2106 model will be assembled in Ecuador, a representative of the Press Service of Volga Automobile Factory (VAZ) told RBC. The project will be implemented in the capital of Ecuador Quito. It is planed that cars will be assembled from supplied parts. AutoVAZ experts are evaluating the contract, which is to be signed between AutoVAZ and an Ecuador Company Aymesa. The VAZ-2106 model was chosen of the two suggested models, Niva and VAZ-2106. Negotiations on Niva will be continued. If an agreement acceptable for both sides is reached, it will be signed as a separate protocol, which will be an appendix to the contract. It is expected that the contract will be signed in November.
