The budget committee of the State Duma will consider amendments to the 2000 draft tomorrow, head of the committee Alexander Zhukov informed journalists. The committee will prepare the budget for the second reading, which is scheduled for November 5, 1999. The committee will discuss amendments to several parts of the budget. According to Zhukov the budget's spending on defense, agriculture, health and education has been increased. Moreover a question of allocation of several billion rubles to finance the activities of the Bank Restructuring Agency (ARKO) and the creation of a fund of guarantees on banks deposits will be discussed tomorrow.
