Russia has not received an official request from the UN concerning the sending a UN delegation to Chechnya so far, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Igor Ivanov said today. He emphasized that the Russian Government in principle supports the intention of international organizations to help Chechen refugees. According to the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "if such help is offered, our reaction to it will be positive", the Echo Moskvy Radio reports. It is worth mentioning that a representative of the UN Secretary-General said in New York that a UN delegation will go to Ingushetia next week to inspect the camps of Chechen refugees.
