The referendum on Russia and Belarus unification may be conducted in the middle of 2000, Minister on CIS Affairs Leonid Drachevsky was quotes as saying at a press conference today. He stressed that the agreement provides for the possibility to conduct the referendum after the agreement is signed and ratified.
